The International Jazz Day AZ Foundation exists to protect, sustain, and expand music education in Arizona, especially in communities most impacted by school closures, budget cuts, and inequitable access to the arts.

When schools close and resources disappear, music is often the first program to be cut—silencing creativity, opportunity, and hope for young people. We step in during moments of loss to ensure that students do not lose access to music and that teachers do not lose their calling.

Through strategic partnerships, community-based programming, and paid after-school instruction, we support music educators committed to continuing their programs beyond the classroom, keeping students engaged, inspired, and connected through jazz and music education.
